Crock Pot Creamy Hot Chocolate

 

On a chilly or snowy day or just sitting around a campfire, Is there anything that warms the sole more than Hot Chocolate?

What you will need:
 
Crock Pot 
Whisk
Spatula
2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
1 – 14 ounce can of sweetened condensed Milk
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups (1-12oz bag)  Semi- sweet chocolate chips
8 cups (1/2 gallon) of whole milk
2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
1 can of whipped topping – Reddi Wip
Marshmallows – optional
 
Makes 10  2- cup servings
  
 
This is rich chocolate flavor, you can make it a more milk chocolate flavor by exchanging the bag semi-sweet chocolate chips with Milk Chocolate or by adding a 1/4 cup of milk to a serving in a mug.
 
 
 
 

Step one:

Set your crock pot to low for 2 hours.

Step Two:

Add 2 cups or 1 12oz. bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips. Spread evenly on the bottom.

 

 

Step Three:

Next add one pint of Heavy Whipping Cream.

Step Four:

Add 4 cups of whole milk.

 

Step Five:

Add 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder (I prefer Hershey’s)

 

Step Six:

Add one 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk

 

 

Step Seven:

Add 2 teaspoons of Pure Vanilla Extract

Step Eight:

Stir mixer using spatula to scrap along the sides and bottom of crock pot.

Step Nine:

Add 4 cups of whole milk

Step Ten:

Using the whisk, mix the hot chocolate every 15 – 20 minutes.

Step Eleven:

Ladle in to mugs top with Reddi Whip or marshmellows… or both. Now enjoy.
